About The Move to Minus 15°C
The Move to -15°C Coalition brings together members from across the global cold chain to share best practice and generate real-world evidence towards adjusting global setpoint temperatures in line with the latest science.

We work collaboratively to design and run pilots, joining academic partners to build a robust evidence base, and create dialogue within the industry and with regulators. We also identify opportunities to optimise frozen temperatures within today’s operating environment.

Thomas Eskesen, Chair
Appointed as Chair of the Coalition in March 2024, Thomas is a global cold chain expert with over 35 years of experience and a proven international track record. He has held several leadership positions at Maersk, including a decade as Vice President, Head of Reefer and Special Cargo. In this role he was responsible for setting strategic direction, asset planning, product development and innovation.
In 2015, he founded Eskesen Advisory, which specialises in advising executives on their unique challenges and opportunities within refrigerated cargo.

Sandra Roling, Managing Director
Sandra was appointed as the Managing Director of The Move to -15°C in October 2025, where she is driving forwards the Coalition’s mission to save energy and emissions by adjusting global setpoint temperatures in line with latest science.
Sandra’s strategic leadership of the coalition's work builds on a decade of experience managing international corporate leadership programs and advocating for ambitious policy frameworks on climate and sustainability. Amongst others, she has previous led the global EV100 initiative accelerating the shift to zero emission vehicles.
